Pali Blues
Homestay Program
2012 Season

Who We Are
The Pali Blues are your hometown team! Our players are Olympians, NCAA All-Americans and, most importantly, outstanding role models for the girls and young women of The Palisades. Our home games are from May – August at the Palisades High School Stadium by the Sea. The Pali Blues won the championship of the United Soccer League (USL) W-League TWICE and 2008’s #2 ranked women’s soccer team in the world!
Why We Need Homestays
Although our soccer is world-class, our players are all amateurs (they sign zero dollar contracts) as the Pali Blues Soccer Club is, at its heart, a 501(c)3 non-profit. Last year, many of our players were graciously welcomed into the homes and guesthouses of supporting Pacific Palisades families. This year, we hope to repeat our success on and off the field!
What can Homestay Families Expect?
This year’s team of Pali Blues players will be in their early 20’s, with most still attending top universities from across the country or around the world. Most will arrive in early May and stay through early August. Because they play and train in a world-class environment, our players are expected to maintain responsible eating and sleeping habits, making them ideal guests. Our players are exemplary role models, especially for those familes who have young players of their own.
What are my Responsibilities as a Host Family?
1. Provide a furnished room for the duration of the season Early May – Early August.
2. Host families are NOT required to provide meals, transportation, or entertain; though getting to know your host player is certainly encouraged!
