PALI BLUES PARTNER WITH COMPETE PERFORMACE
By Silviano Barron

Palisades, CA (Thursday, April 22, 2010) - The W-League champion the Pali Blues Soccer Club is partnering with Compete Performance for the upcoming 2010 USL W-League season.

Compete Performance, a Southern California based athlete training program, is based on natural science and owner and trainer Chris Phillips’ 15 years in professional sports. Phillips has experience training teams and athletes in many of North American’s top leagues including the National Hockey League, Arena Football League and Women’s Professional Soccer.

Last year, Compete Performance was the training partner with the WPS’s Los Angeles Sol.

"I am excited and looking forward to working with the Pali Blues,” said Phillips about the partnership for the upcoming 2010 season. “As the Athletic Trainer with the Los Angeles Sol I really enjoyed working with some of the best women’s players in the world,” Phillips adding, “Charlie Naimo attracts many of the best players and his professionalism and passion for the game sets the tone for a fun, successful season."

From Head Coach Charlie Naimo’s perspective the feeling is mutual. “It was great working with Chris and his group last season in WPS.” Naimo adds, “The players were extremely happy with how professional his staff was. We are extremely fortunate to have him join the Pali family."

The Pali Blues 2010 season starts off with an exhibition match against Santa Clarita on May 22 at Stadium-by-the-Sea, when fans will attempt to break the World Record for the most people juggling a soccer ball in one stadium.
