L.A. SOL NAME KENZO BERGERON ASSISTANT COACH

Carson, Calif. (Friday, May 22, 2009) – The Los Angeles Sol (Women’s Professional Soccer) today announced that Kenzo Bergeron, Director of Soccer Operations, has also been named Assistant Coach, Technical Analysis.

Bergeron, who holds a U.S. Soccer Federation “D” coaching license, will work in dual capacities for the remainder of the season.

“Kenzo is a welcomed addition to our coaching staff,” said Los Angeles Sol Head Coach Abner Rogers. “He has been invaluable to the success of the team both on and off the field this season.”

Prior to joining the Los Angeles Sol, Bergeron spent eight years as head coach of the girl’s varsity soccer team at Crossroads High School in Santa Monica, California. He is also the owner and operator of the Iverbe Soccer Camp.

Bergeron ran cross country and track for the University of California, Santa Barbara, before graduating in 2002 with a degree in black studies.

The Los Angeles Sol host the Saint Louis Athletica on Sunday, May 30 at The Home Depot Center on the Campus of Cal State Dominguez Hills.
