After graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in Public Relations in 2003, Sahar moved out to California to pursue a career in entertainment public relations. After working at ID-PR, Sahar was offered a job at 90 Minutes Soccer Magazine. At 90:00, she handled everything from the editorial calendar to player and team relations. Upon leaving 90:00 in 2006, Sahar was the Communications Coordinator for American Soccer Tennis Organization (ASTO), run by former U.S. National Team captain Thomas Dooley. After returning from the World Cup, Sahar worked with MK Soccer Club in sponsorship. In February 2007, Sahar began attending Cal State Long Beach’s Sports Management program. Along with school, Sahar also started working in the Communications Department of the Los Angeles Galaxy. Through the Galaxy, she was also able to work for U.S. Soccer Men’s and Women’s Communications, SUM Communications and MLS Communications.
